Here, here, here we go
[You want to know what kind of sleep you had? Quite frankly, it doesn't matter, not when it's interrupted by the sound of a cuckoo clock. When you're awake enough to look over and see what woke you up, you can see a small bear figurine popping in and out o- wait, what? It suddenly occurs to you that this isn't at all where you went to sleep last night.
But...it's nice enough. It's a wooden cabin, and seems to have been decorated with neat matching furniture. Your rather small bed is flanked by the cuckoo clock, and which for the life of you, you can't figure out how to shut off...which doesn't matter much when it stops a few moments later regardless. The time reads 7 AM, which might very well be far too early for your tastes.
When you actually start to look around a bit, you may or may not find one personal object on a nearby dresser, but more importantly, you might eventually notice is a small device somewhere on your person. If you can figure out how to work it, pressing the screen will reveal a profile containing information about yourself, and scrolling down reveals several different ones for strangers. It only serves to raise more and more questions - just what is is going on?
Suddenly, without warning, a screeching sound interrupts the last of whatever peace you might have had, and a voice blares out throughout the entire camp:]
Rise and shine, campers! Please make your way to the Mess Hall by 8 AM sharp!
[There's another screeching sound, and...music begins to play. It's not loud enough to drown out your speaking, but it's annoying, especially when you take into consideration that it doesn't stop playing. Ever. It just keeps repeating. Background music! It seems to be coming from the loudspeaker in the middle of the camp, and does generally get quieter the further you move from in. In addition, you'll find that the music seems to disappear entirely when you enter some buildings - such as the Theater and the previously-mentioned mess hall.
Speaking of which? When you finally exit your cabin, you'll find your feet meeting a cobblestone path - and down this path are more and more cabins. Going beyond the path, you'll find that nearly all the ground in the area is grassy, but luckily, there are a few dirt paths here and there to help you get to where you need to go. If you ignore the oddities, like the giant stone walls that surround the camp or the constantly-burning bonfire? It's almost kind of serene.
The sun is shining, and it's a lovely day for camping. It's time to mix and mingle.]
[ooc: Smash Ronpa is now open! This intro log will function as IC meet and greet. Use it to get to know your fellow classmates, ask questions, and check out your surroundings a bit. Your headmaster will be making his appearance shortly, upupupu~]

[Y'know there's a lot of ways to react to suddenly waking up in a unfamiliar place, especially when you were just in an already unfamiliar place. Most reactions would probably be some form of panic and confusion.
Elizabeth however can currently be found dragging the cuckoo clock through her cabin door]
My apologies, but as fascinated as I am by the charming "pop out" function you have, I have no use for something that makes such a dreadful racket.
[once she's pulled it out enough she unceremoniously lets it drop to the ground outside]
Oops.
B.
[Despite being told to meet in the mess hall, she seems content to take her time and explore instead.
Right now she's standing in front of the bulletin board, observing it carefully. She is still dressed in her nurse outfit, but she seems to have found a certain book on her dresser and has returned to carrying it around with her.]
Hmm...

Thank you for the offer, but the ground should suffice for now.

[He nudges it with his foot.]
Got enough to worry about here without people tumbling headfirst over cuckoo clocks.

...huh. That's some book]
Excuse me. What's that book?
[It doesn't resemble anything he has seen so far]
no subject
[huh. no one's really asked about the grimoire before... but then again the only people who've ever seen it are people who've been to the velvet room]
It's a persona compendium. It contains information on all of my guest's personas, even the ones he has chosen to relinquish.
[...what]
no subject
...I didn' understand a single word from that.
[Can personas even be explained in a way a seventeen year old teenager from non-magical Bronx can understand?]

Hey, nurse. [He gestures at the book in her hands.] Whatcha got there?
no subject
[speaking of face holy shit what are those on yours MAKES A NOTE TO ASK LATER
after having Mac ask about it though, she's learned that being honest about what it is probably more confusing than anything so she'll simplify it this time
She rests her free hand on the tome.]
This is a compendium used to assist my guest on his journey.
no subject
Guest? So, what, like some kind of guide? [Interesting.] Who's this guest of yours? All of us?

Yeah, she has to be the camp nurse. Which means she is an adult who would know how to leave this place.]
Heeeeey, Miss Nurse! I need your help.
no subject
Yes? What may I help you with?
no subject
[Because someone who works at the camp must know that, right?]

A!
...or stolen, but she doesn't want to even consider that possibility. About halfway through looking, she hears that sound of something very large being dragged and turns to see Elizabeth walking out of her cabin with a similar clock to the one in her room.]
You do realize it stops after a minute or two.
[Though it is a bit annoying... Maybe she has the right idea here.]
no subject
[still dragging]
However, it could easily start again and I haven't the heart to destroy such a peculiar relic, no matter how irritable it may be.
Thus, this appears to be the most ideal solution.
no subject
You aren't wrong, but it will only start up again every hour on the hour. It isn't as if it sounds randomly, thankfully.

Pittoo never had to deal with Eggplant Wizards back in the day- but that terror is practically imprinted on his genes from Pit. So seeing a Nurse makes him on edge right away, pointing his (unknowingly) useless staff around, waiting for the magical attack that would turn him into a healthy treat]
Where's it hiding!?
no subject
That is, as they say, "what I'd like to know"!
[...is she fucking with him or...]
A
So you're...
[He glances at the profiles in his electronic handbook again.]
Elizabeth? I don't suppose you know what's going on or what high school has to do with any of it?
[Because what the heck is "Super High School Level"? Is it what everyone here was good at in high school? In that case his would be accurate, if an unpleasant reminder about something he'd rather forget, but seriously is this a joke? If so, he doesn't get it.]

this girl.]
My apologies. Aside from being trapped in a high school until this morning, as well as visiting one not too long ago I'm afraid I don't have the feintest idea what that would have to do with our current situation.
...If I may ask, how did you know my name? Is it on that... "panel" you are holding?
no subject
Though her profile said she was an "attendant"...
Teacher's aide then, maybe?]
Oh, yes! These devices seem to have information on everyone here! Which means whoever brought us here must have already known who we were... We weren't picked at random!

[Normally, Ashley would not even consider giving this woman the time of day. BUUUUTTTT]

Ah... close but no sugar! It is in fact a grimoire, however it is used for summoning, not spell casting.

Ah-Ah've had chickens that make less a racket...
no subject
Indeed, I was.
Normally I would be fascinated by such an object, but all that noise was far too dreadful for my tastes.
