 WEEK 4

[Four weeks in, more and more students fall victim to Monobear's deadly game. Betrayus Spheros and Callie Kubodera have both passed on, and the pool of campers begins to thin out.

The camp has been mysteriously cleaned overnight, and the campers have been left with a golden key to take them to the next world. The obligatory ice world:  less friction, more penguins.

On a special note, whenever a camper goes to visit Callie's grave today, they will find that it has been dug up. There is now a large hole where the SHSL Squdiol was once buried, and those who look around it will find no traces of squid nor kid.

Okay, Smashers. Rise and shine, and don't forget your booties cuz it's cooooooolllldddd   out there!]

[While a light rainfall has picked up in the other areas, this translates into a light snowfall in the new area. This would be quite peaceful if it weren't for the terribly jolly music.

Monobear’s daily special is Fried Calamari. It has been dyed pink. There is no way around this. EVERYONE WAS EXPECTING THIS.]

[Nightime camp-lurkers will find yet another cartoony mole digging about, and sketching up things. He's especially interested in the new area, and makes a point of digging through the snow to investigate it. While the last mole didn't seem too keen on conversation, this one actually bothers to approach you:]

[The Trainer's really just transporting her yoga mat to the fitness area and incredibly eager to do so. So when the new mole stops her, the Trainer's immediate thought is "but how quickly can I get back to the Center."]

Oh, hello there. Did you lose your hat?

Hey. I haven't seen you before.

[Which is kind of significant, all things considered.]

Oh goodness, another one!

[still petting her new cucco pal as she bends over to greet the new mole]

Are you here to tell me not to "reset" as well?

A

[Before heading to wherever the next door opening event is taking place, Wiitney decides to do another jog around the hiking trail. Well, she tries at least before she quickly wears out of energy and slows to a stop, breathing heavily. Turns out that while yoga and strength training are good for you, its not exactly the best for increasing endurance or running time.

Glancing around carefully, Wiitney decides to just... walk around the area. Maybe if she takes long enough, people will think she just exercised for a long time. Yeah. Maybe just look around. No one will ever know.]

B

[Having never experienced cold before, it takes Wiitney a while to actually force herself through the world and into the Secret Base. She explores a little, planning on just finding something warm for the way back to the cabins.

And then she finds it.

The Fitness Center.

Its not the same as home, of course, But by Wuhu, look at all this equipment. You can just feel the hard-work in the air. The Trainer herself looks like she's practically floating off the ground. Its so beautiful in every way.]

[It's a good thing too, since the trail seems like it's a downwards slope. Thankfully, the trail is relatively straightforward from here on out, and there's a clearing up ahead.]

A-Mess hall

[Hinawa actually lets out a small shriek at the sight of today's special. NOPE. This will not do at all. Just like she's done before, she gets right to work fixing this. Anyone else looking for an alternative will find some scrumptious chicken and dumplings waiting for them. Bonus: no pink dye!]

B-Callie's grave

[She may have missed the impromptu funeral, but Hinawa made sure to make time and leave an offering there today.

...Or at least she would have had the grave still been there, instead of a gaping hole. Veerrrry slowly, she tiptoes over to the hole and peers in, finding nothing. She's not sure if that's worse than finding something.]

C-The cabins

[Creeped out but undeterred, Hinawa returns to the cabins and starts... gardening? The sunflowers she found in her cabin upon arrival have long since wilted, but they dropped seeds, three of which she planted in a row in the ground, one each for Mac, Pittoo and Callie. A little farther from them, she even planted one for Betrayus, if only to help alleviate her own guilt over hating him so much.]

A Computer Lab
[Well since there seems to be a lot of weird going ons in pretty much every new area, Luigi decided to check out the computer room for any clues. He's going to check all the computers to see maybe one of them can connect to the internet, first of all.

... Ugh, someone seriously made a computer game about his big bro?]

B Around Camp
[Well after finding that weird thing in the sewers, Luigi decided that the other students needed to know about this information since, well, he kind of wanted to make sure that the students don't all just stop trusting each other with anything.

So expect Luigi approaching you, holding a card.]

I... uh... I think you need to see this.

NEWS....DAY?

[So. Monday morning.

Were you expecting some camp news? Possibly detailing the new level?

Unfortunately, there is no camp news. And there will never be camp news ever again.]

A) Cabins

[Are you an early riser? Well then, you'll be treated to a...strange sight when you leave your cabin. Alastor is standing just outside Cabin 13, holding a banana peel at arm's length and glaring at it like it's his mortal enemy. That...that sure is a thing.]

B) Cold Storage/Mess Hall

[After...whatever he was doing with the banana peel, Alastor decides it's time to check out the new area. And wait, is that...ice cream? So much of it. There's only one thing to do with so much ice cream. He ferries a bunch of it back to the kitchen, where he proceeds to get out a ton of toppings and make sundaes for all. Because seriously, who doesn't need some comfort food by now?]

C) Skating Rink

[Been a while since he's been skating...and the last time it wasn't exactly for fun. So, with ice cream devoured, he once again crosses to the new area and starts poking around in search of ice skates.]

Cooking 101

After seeing the appalling items that continue to be offered in the mess hall, I feel it's time to learn how to cook for myself. If someone would be so kind so as to teach me the basics it would be greatly appreciated.

[After finishing that up, Elizabeth can be found with her new friend: a cucco that she is carrying around in place of her tome. She's still taking it easy today.]

TUESDAY

[It's rather bright and sunny in all the areas today, which leaves some time for the campers to make snow angels and have snowball fights and whatnot. This is done to music that kind of sounds like "Hard Times" by The Jetzons.

Monobear’s daily special is a tray of freshly-baked cookies. They look very colorful and festive, mind you.]

MOTIVE: Rom Dump

[We're in a routine now. Tuesday morning comes, there's an announcement, and everybody cries tears of sorrow. This time, when students head to the mess hall, they will find Monobear popping out of the fridge.]

Well! Looks like you bastards are responding very well to all of this! Figures we oughta cook you up some more motives, huh?

[11 cartridges, each featuring pixelated artwork of each surviving camper, pop up on a table nearby. Monobear touches each - and everytime he does so, a different scene from each camper's life plays out on two very big screens.]

These cartridges contain every little intimate detail about your weird little lives! If nobody's dead by the end of this week, each and every one of these little suckers is gonna get dumped!

Every little detail, every little secret, every bit of your history - is gonna be available for public viewing! You ever want to keep a secret again? Kill one of your classmates and get away with it!

[Monobear and the cartridges both disappear into a conveniently-placed warp pipe, which then proceeds to sink into the ground.

Mess Hall

[HOW ABOUT we forget what happened this morning with some cooking! The cookies aren't too bad, but do not a full, nutritious meal make. So let's have some green bean casserole instead!]

WEDNESDAY

[Snowfall has begun again, and it's a lot heavier now. It should leave a new layer of snow for the campers to play around on tomorrow. The intensity of the weather is set to intensified music, at the very least.

Monobear’s daily special is Elixir Soup. It's hearty and healthy, almost as if somebody's grandma made it. There are two edible eyeballs hidden at the bottom of every bowl!]

[Well, it's rather cold out today. Ashley does not bother to put on that dumb-looking dog sweater, but she does have the matching beanie and gloves on. What's more? She's wearing a scarf too! This is scarf weather, and she is going to take full advantage of that.

You know what else she is taking advantage of? The snow. Ashley has taken some supplies from the kitchen and used them to make two...charming-looking snowmen. She's also in the process of building more! Soon, Ashley will have an ARMY!

But...she does look happy as she does it. That's new.]

B

[Ashley can also be found in the Party Room today, with a plate of those cookies from the kitchen, as bringing an entire gallon of milk with her. There's a few cups scattered around, too, which at least makes it something of a party. Almost.

So, she's going to sit there, dunking these cookies into that milk, while staring at that giant pine tree in the corner. Why they're covered in multicolored lights is absolutely mysterious. These weird Sinatra albums she found don't help matters, but she doesn't mind any of this, it all feels comfortable. The record player helps.

A: computer lab

[Oh man, this is heaven to a guy like Yomiel. Computers are his thing so he's going to spend some time trying all of them and seeing what they're capable of.]

[Unfortunately, they're not capable of much, so he's just going to gripe to himself for a while about that.]

Of course they couldn't have perfectly fine computers. Of course.


B: garage

[And hey, this is a pretty cool area. Yomiel's never been the biggest fan of cars and such, but he has to admit they are pretty cool. He's just going to wander in, taking a look at all the vehicles and trying to see if there's anything of interest.]

[Hinawa, surprising no one, made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup for a certain ailing edgehog, but of course there's plenty left over for anyone who's not a fan of eyeballs in their soup, fake or no.]

THURSDAY

[The snow settles today, and it adds a lot more feet. Campers might find it a bit difficult to move about, but at least it seems to be melting. The music...reflects this.

Monobear’s daily special is a Seafood Bowl. There are small bowls with seafood set out, each one containing a large squid-dyed-pink at the top. Every time someone approaches a bowl, a small bit of soy sauce is dispensed from a nozzle above it - starting up the muscle cells and making the squid "dance".]

A) Mess Hall

[Yeahno. While Alastor finds nothing disrespectful about serving food that may or may not be corpses, this crosses a line. He may have gone through and removed those squids from the bowls, before heading into the kitchen to make some food that isn't a mockery of a fallen friend.

Thus, today is actually breaded chicken and gravy day. So there.]

B) First Gate

[If patterns hold true, tonight will be another murder. After tacking up a short note on the bulletin board in his usual atrocious handwriting (self defense clases after lunch, bye furst gaet), he'd settled in for a bit of solo-practice while he waits. He only has a foam sword in the shape of connected fireballs, but it'll have to do for now, as he runs through various practice forms for swordplay. Doesn't make him miss his real weapon any less, though.]

A. Outside the Secret Base

[so Elizabeth has been getting a lot of neat stuff out of the MonoMonoMachine lately, a lot of which she saves for request rewards, but some of it she's saving for herself. Including this rad as fuck helmet which she is currently taking to wearing.

At the moment she is sneaking around the secret base, waiting for unsuspecting victims... being jumping out from behind a corner and exclaiming a little too excitedly:]

B. Party Room

[after getting hungry and raiding the ice cream storage she's in the party room, checking out all the decorations and poking at the record player...

...of course she's still wearing the helmet too.]

[A: Cold Storage]

[Last week, Clair had slacked off on exploring. She wasn't about to make the same mistake this time around, especially with Callie's passing. They needed to find a way out and fast. If someone else close to her died... Someone like Wiitney, Alastor, or Yomiel... No. That won't happen.

And even if it does, she can't keep letting herself bend. She has to keep going. Can't even give that damn bear an inch. So thus begins her exploration of the Cold Storage, starting with whatever happens to be closest when she first walks in.]

[B]

[So for those of you who are out and about, you'll find Clair with the entirety of her team. All this snow's been piling up, so someone needs to clear out a path. Hence why she and Salamence are doing their best to do just that. Meanwhile Altaria sits atop a large mound of snow. On her back is the Cucco Clair found in the Monomono Machine. Both seem to be wearing a warm scarf and...santa hats?

Someone must've been visiting the Party Room.]

[C]

[If you happen to visit the concert hall, you might find it pretty empty. However, snooping around a bit will eventually lead to some progress. If one chooses to listen closely, they'll hear the faint sound of someone talking followed by a loud "THUMP". Should they continue onward, they'll find that one of the practice rooms is preoccupied.

Peaking inside will reveal Clair and Salamence. Using its tail to balance itself, the dragon stands on its hind legs and makes a pose reminiscent of the one Callie makes during her "stay fresh" catch phase. His trainer strikes it at the same time, though she looks more stern and serious than anything else.]

Stay fresh!

[Meanwhile, Salamence just grunts at the same time, before its front legs slam down onto the ground with a loud "THUMP".]

...I don't think I'll ever get the hang of this, but I don't want to give up yet. Callie did a good job of boosting morale and keeping everyone in the know. We should keep her idea going.

[Salamence nods in response, but gives her an uneasy look.]

...maybe we should find someone else?

[He nods. Good thing no one saw any of that.]

[Well it seems like a lot of new things have been coming to light recently, and in a way to try to help boost moral maybe they can at least figure out more about why they're here and how they can get out.

Early that day on the Bulletin Board, the campers will find a new note posted on it.]

Hey, I've been noticing that we've been finding more things about this place, so I think it's a good time to share it in hope that we can find a way out.

Meet me at the Party Room at 6 PM. I'll bring snacks again.

[And at 6 PM, Luigi is sitting in the Party Room with various snacks and some hot chocolate for people to drink. Well time to start trying to solve this mystery again.
