THE FIRST VICTIM

[This morning, it seems like the world should have ended, but if anyone wakes up early enough or just (quite understandably) couldn’t sleep… well… they’ll see four giant Monobears catching the falling moon and pushing it back up into the sky.

That sure is a thing that happened, but it seems to have happened before touching the ground. That’s a good thing, right?

...Unfortunately, there might be something a little wrong. For one, there’s no music playing on the loudspeakers… which kind of leaves an unsettling stillness hanging in the air.

Maybe it’s best to check around the camp to make sure everyone’s alright.]

The lack of music and the moon being gone give her concern though so she's going to check around the cabins first, see if she can wake anyone up or see if anyone is missing]

[Luigi... admittedly hadn't slept while the previous night with his mind constantly thinking about that Moon, and such woke up a little too late to see the giant Monobears.

But when he sees that they themselves aren't dead he hopes that it's a good sign. After all, that Moon looked big and close enough, that they'd be dead too if it touched down right.... Right?

He decides to go to the Kitchen, but not to look for a body, because honestly his worry and tentative hope is great enough that he isn't quite understanding what the lack of music and the moon being gone might mean. He mostly just wants coffee right now.]

[Wiitney doesn't like sleeping. It's such a weird concept, losing your consciousness for such a long period of time. But people seem happier when she does it, so she finds herself waking up that morning. She gives the sky a confused look before going on her way. Someone should really do something about that weird thing hanging on the ceiling.

She doesn't feel like eating yet, so she heads to her typical spot near the Store]

[That. That sure is a thing.

It takes Callie a moment to get going, but soon she realizes that there is no music too. Something weird is going on here.]

I knew it, it was just a bluff!

[But hey, that means she should scout around for new info before doing her morning news! So she is going to go check out the theater first, and see if the movies stopped playing too.]

[Well, that's a relief...if a bit...unnerving. But the lack of music this early is too, as Nephenee does her early morning run before seven. Well, just to be sure...she checks the training grounds. She's memorized most details of it subconsciously,...anything wrong?]

[It's finally here. The big day. The fact that it managed to come despite their best efforts was incredibly nerve-wracking, but there was nothing she could do. Nothing anyone could do. As she stepped out of her cabin, looking up at the sky and waiting for the inevitable crash, she expected the worst. So when those bears just kinda came out of nowhere and stopped them, she was...well...er...

Okay, her face was priceless. Never before had she been so happy to see that bear. However, just as quickly as her shock turned to happiness, it turned to fear. Why didn't it crash? They hadn't broken out of here or saved the others.

...

...oh no.

Before she knows it, she's running. The music that never stops playing has gone eerily quiet for once, so she decided to investigate the Loudspeaker.]

[Sitting on the wall all night, Alastor definitely sees that. It's enough to shake him out of his boiling mixture of rage, guilt and fear. He jumps from the wall (possibly pausing to scoop Shadow up) and spreads his wings to slow the fall enough that rather than hurt himself, he can take off running.

Something isn't right, and he doesn't believe the bear wouldn't at least let them think their friends had been crushed. That means...nonononono. He'll run to the obstacle course, the most likely place he can think of for an accidental or impulsive death. It's all the optimism he has at the moment.]

[Yeah, no, the moon NOT crushing Stratos into paste is anything but a good thing for Betrayus. Dammit, he'd been excited for that all week! What a disappointment.
... Wait a minute, if it didn't happen though...

He's much too curious to not want to find out. Since he's been spending a lot of time in the arcade, he decides to check there first. If anything's amiss, he'll probably be able to tell right away.]

A body has been discovered! After a short period of investigation, we will start a “school trial”!
