[This morning, it seems like the world should have ended, but if anyone wakes up early enough or just (quite understandably) couldn’t sleep… well… they’ll see four giant Monobears catching the falling moon and pushing it back up into the sky.

That sure is a thing that happened, but it seems to have happened before touching the ground. That’s a good thing, right?

...Unfortunately, there might be something a little wrong. For one, there’s no music playing on the loudspeakers… which kind of leaves an unsettling stillness hanging in the air.

Maybe it’s best to check around the camp to make sure everyone’s alright.]

Location 3 - Mac's Cabin: MUST BE UNLOCKED BY MONOBEAR

[Someone stole Mac's life! Someone stole Mac's life! Someone stole Mac's liiifeeee~]

[Luigi was still in a daze when he woke up from fainting. All he wanted to do was just crawl back into his cabin forever.

But at the same time... a small voice in his head told him that he can't just stay here and do nothing. That's not what Mario would do.

And so he finds himself in front of Mac's cabin (partially because he didn't want to see that body anymore). Maybe he can find some clues there.

Uuuunfortunately it's locked though.]

Um... how do I...?

C-can anyone tell me how I can-a unlock this?

[despairection]

[Oh, look, Luigi! There's your lovely head counselor. Once he hears Luigi's request, his tone suddenly becomes that of aggravation.]

Sheesh, Mustachio! People used to ask for me to unlock these things, no need to be so rude about it!

[Aaaaaand he's just gonna unlock that cabin for him now.]

B-but I did ask...

[Why must you be so mean, Monobear?

And so he goes inside the cabin. Anything immediately obvious that's off?]

[Well, the bed isn't made, for one thing.]

[Hi Luigi guess who's gonna investigate with you because he wants to find the culprit purely out of spite, since their murder allowed his brother to go un-crushed by the moon another day?
This brother-hating guy.

Betrayus walks into the cabin, glancing around.]

I'd start with looking under the bed.

[In other words, "Go look under the bed, Luigi."
Being the one who just lazes around and gives orders is a hard habit to break.]

[Huh, so Mac never went to bed?

Oh hi brother hating guy. Like the overly obedient person that he is, he slowly nods.]

Um, sure...

[And he checks under the bed for anything notable.]

[More like he never went back to bed. But there doesn't appear to be anything under it!]

[Huh.

Well Luigi turns back to Betrayus as he goes to check out the drawers]

Hey, um, you wanna help me look-a for anything? Y'know, since you're here...

[hopelessnecromantic]

[Shrug.]

I suppose I don't have anything better to do.

[He could just wait around for everyone else to find more clues, but there isn't really TV or anything here so that'd be kind of boring. He'll remove the cushions from the chair and the couch to see if there's anything under them.]

[While Betrayus will find a decent amount of lint, Luigi will be much more successful in his endeavors. Namely, he'll find a fairly detailed map of the camp.]

[green_mario]

Eh?

[Luigi pulls out the map.]

What's-a this doing here?

[He examines it more closely to see if there's anything unusual about it.]

[Betrayus turns to notice Luigi found something, and walks over to him.]

What's the point of a map? It's not like it's easy to get lost around here!

[Well! When they look at the map a bit more, they'll see a route drawn on it.]

[... Huh.

Where does the route go?]

[Mac's Cabin -> Mess Hall -> Showers -> Theater -> Obstacle Course -> Arcade-> Camp Store -> Mac's Cabin]

[green_mario]

[.... Yeah he has no idea what this means.

He turns to Betrayus.]

What-a do you think this means?

Considering it doesn't lead anywhere of interest and just loops back around to here, for all I know it could be his morning jogging routine! I'm not even sure it has anything to do with the murder!

But this-a goes by the theater. Maybe someone knew about his jogging routine and....

[Trails off, not really wanting to think about any bad things happening.]

Or why it's in the drawer. It's-a not like he would-a need to worry about anyone stealing it.

[For multiple reasons.]

How do we even know if it's relevant? Whatever this path was marked for, it might not have anything to do with him being killed!
