Here, here, here we go

[You want to know what kind of sleep you had? Quite frankly, it doesn't matter, not when it's interrupted by the sound of a cuckoo clock. When you're awake enough to look over and see what woke you up, you can see a small bear figurine popping in and out o- wait, what? It suddenly occurs to you that this isn't at all where you went to sleep last night.

But...it's nice enough. It's a wooden cabin, and seems to have been decorated with neat matching furniture. Your rather small bed is flanked by the cuckoo clock, and which for the life of you, you can't figure out how to shut off...which doesn't matter much when it stops a few moments later regardless. The time reads 7 AM, which might very well be far too early for your tastes.

When you actually start to look around a bit, you may or may not find one personal object on a nearby dresser, but more importantly, you might eventually notice is a small device somewhere on your person. If you can figure out how to work it, pressing the screen will reveal a profile containing information about yourself, and scrolling down reveals several different ones for strangers. It only serves to raise more and more questions - just what is is going on?

Suddenly, without warning, a screeching sound interrupts the last of whatever peace you might have had, and a voice blares out throughout the entire camp:]

Rise and shine, campers! Please make your way to the Mess Hall by 8 AM sharp!

[There's another screeching sound, and...music begins to play. It's not loud enough to drown out your speaking, but it's annoying, especially when you take into consideration that it doesn't stop playing. Ever. It just keeps repeating. Background music! It seems to be coming from the loudspeaker in the middle of the camp, and does generally get quieter the further you move from in. In addition, you'll find that the music seems to disappear entirely when you enter some buildings - such as the Theater and the previously-mentioned mess hall.

Speaking of which? When you finally exit your cabin, you'll find your feet meeting a cobblestone path - and down this path are more and more cabins. Going beyond the path, you'll find that nearly all the ground in the area is grassy, but luckily, there are a few dirt paths here and there to help you get to where you need to go. If you ignore the oddities, like the giant stone walls that surround the camp or the constantly-burning bonfire? It's almost kind of serene.

The sun is shining, and it's a lovely day for camping. It's time to mix and mingle.]

[ooc: Smash Ronpa is now open! This intro log will function as IC meet and greet. Use it to get to know your fellow classmates, ask questions, and check out your surroundings a bit. Your headmaster will be making his appearance shortly, upupupu~]
hopelessnecromantic: nightmaring in fright (the living we're scaring)

I mean "brought back to life" obviously!
willpunchyouout: Yes I need the calories (WARY)

[Mac stared in disbelief for a moment]

...wait, let me get it straight. You were dead and now you are alive. You got resurrected in the literal sense of the word.

Please tell me there's something I got wrong because this doesn' make sense at all

[Mac takes several steps back as if he feared Betrayus was going to melt into a gross sludge as soon as he realized resurrection doesn't tend to happen randomly]
hopelessnecromantic: we'll dance until the morning light (for a drink and a parade)

[personal profile] hopelessnecromantic 2015-10-04 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Uh, no. What are you talking about? It makes perfect sense!

Ghosts CAN be put back in corporeal bodies with the right technology, you know!

[That's pretty much what The Repository is, a combination hammerspace storage and resurrection device. Betrayus just assumes whoever's in charge here must have something similar.]
willpunchyouout: Did Glass Joe win a match? (CONFUSED)

[personal profile] willpunchyouout 2015-10-04 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
We don' even have the technology for that. That's science fiction, this is not a spaceship or anythin' like that.

[But once he said that Mac approaches back, looking to the sides conspiratorially]

But supposin' you were really dead...tell me, how's the afterlife?
hopelessnecromantic: mescal in our mandibles and porridge in our ribs (i don't need them at all)

Tch, on your backwards, primitive planet maybe!

[The former ghost shrugs.]

Hot, mostly. Which I actually liked, being a fire ghost and all! The food is awful, but I guess that's one upside to not having taste buds!
So I suppose it could be worse, still I'd take being alive over ruling the Netherworld any day!
willpunchyouout: My recovery isn't that bad (DONE)

You say that as if you didn' live in this planet.

Forgive him, he hasn't got the memo about different universes yet. He's a bit dim when it's about things like that

Well you got your wish and it couldn' have be in better circumstances than this. This is no stellar resort, if you ask me, but bein' here should be much better than being in hell.
hopelessnecromantic: shed your shrouds (are wiggling off their crust)

[personal profile] hopelessnecromantic 2015-10-04 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be because I don't!

[If you're wondering how he can tell, all he needs to do is look at the sky. His planet has two moons.]

Um, hello? I was a GHOST? That means I have UNFINISHED BUSINESS! I need to get back to PacWorld A-S-A-P to take CARE of that business, thank you very much!

[Give Mac a moment, he's going to take a moment to compose himself because there's a supposed alien ghost in front of him. Or alien-and-former-ghost. That's not the kind of thing you understand straight from the beginning]

Right. Right, I'm goin' to pretend you didn' just say you're from another planet because I already had enough with the resurrection part.

Hope I'm wrong but this camp can't send you to your home. Unless maybe you can contact somebody from where you come from? Somehow?
