[Let it never be said the Elite Beat Agents can't throw a party.

After the 15 survivors of the Smash Life of Mutual Killing (as well as the antagonistic doctor and the original students) are interrogated and debriefed, offers are sent out from the agents. Offers to help them and to become operatives - to prevent anything along these lines from ever happening again.

As for the camp? The camp itself, as well as the Forsaken Fortress, have been cleared out by the Agents. The plan right now is to put The Announcer back in charge of the camp - but that still needs to be hashed out. Right now, there are more important things to be discussed. Like party time.

Did I mention that that the agents own a completely kicking mansion? It's huge, and reflects their own nature - serious, yet still musical and fun-loving. There's a full-time band and DJ blasting music around every corner of the establishment, these guys can rock better than any Future Foundation weirdos ever could. The music ranges from the 80s-iest rock you can imagine, to some more modern songs, to...the utterly bizarre. It's diverse, to say the least. But there are certainly some quiet areas you could slink away to if you just want to talk.

[...well, first and foremost, there is a goomba there. Though he is rather shy, despite the music. You can see him kind of melodically swaying back and forth every once and a while, but he's not the type to dance. He does have some books, though, and will often retreat to one of the quieter areas to read and drink some of the Fruit Punch. He just hopes it didn't end up spiked or anything.]

[Well Luigi feels like he should talk to the Goomba. After all they were in similar situations and if that Mario Party thing was the truth, they might have actually met before and Luigi couldn't help but feel bad that he didn't even notice his disappearance.

[It's kinda obnoxiously loud, but he's not going to miss a party. He can't fly as easily in the crowd though, so he might sneak away eventually.

[Mario hasn't gotten some sleep for the past couple of weeks.

Mainly, because he's been looking all over The Mushroom World for anything - some sign of his brother. Every Warp Pipe, every miniboss, everything gets checked and no stone gets unturned. That didn't exactly dissuade him. No, instead, it just meant that he looked even harder. Blood is thicker than water.

But when he hears that Luigi is here. Well, he's there in a heartbeat.

He'll be maneuvering around the party as best as he can throughout the day. His behavior might seem a little bit erratic to some. He pays no mind to any of the other partygoers, nor does he pay attention to anyone until he finds his brother. The man checks every single place in the mansion, no stone goes unturned in his hunt.

He'll be more social-able later. Right now, he's scrambling around, mumbling in Italian gibberish when he can't find anything.]

[Soon enough, Mario will hear a small, shocked voice coming from behind him. It sounds awfully familiar.]

M... Mario?

[Luigi could hardly believe his eyes as he saw the familiar outfit, especially after the last time he "saw" his big brother. Even with all that's gone on, this was the point he was starting to wonder if he was just dreaming.]

[Well, Luigi wasn't really into these kinds of parties, but he can't help but be happy as he just camps out by the snack table. Just seeing so many people after being stuck with a dwindling party just feels oddly refreshing.

He wasn't going to dance though, he had his limits.]

[Heck yeah, lurking around the food table! Luigi seemed like one of the nicest ones of the camp group, and he has a well-maintained mustache, compared to the patches of hair on Duster's face. He barely had time to talk with him while passing out food and running around, trying to keep Wario on a leash.

He walks up next to Luigi. Step one of meeting new person complete. He has a plate of chips with him, and with a bit of poking, the bearded man turns to him.]

[Oh, there's another EBA agent... around. As far away from all the people as possible. He's in the suit for the most part, except the fact that the suit jacket is instead obnoxiously long. But don't worry, the glasses are there.

Instead of mingling he's tapping away on a tablet, brow furrowed- he was here to bring down that barrier, and now that it was gone he was here to investigate the mix of Eggman tech and Hyrulian magic to conversion to something more mass producible by the agents. And observe the campers for any sudden wish-based mutations.

So feel free to ask questions, but good luck getting anything useful. Any fellow Agents might be ordered to bring refreshment- but feel free to deny him. Yamato is actually rather low ranking. Probably because he can't dance worth a shit]

[ really, you shouldn't be surprised that the musical agents managed to pick up a singing robot along the way. She's not dancing, but you'll find Miku happily swaying along to all the music, piping up to sing along to the ones she likes best -- which to be honest, is most of them.

She's hanging around at the snack table too, but how she expects to digest any of that food on her plate is a mystery.

If you happen to be one of the survivors, you might find yourself approached by her at some point, chattering away at high speed; ]

[Kirby, believe it or not, got hired by the EBA a little while ago. His natural optimism and amazing ability to dance made him an amazing agent. And really all they needed to do to get Kirby to agree to this was to offer some cake if he joins them. (His body was too small for an actual suit but he sporting some rocking sunglasses right now)

Unsurprisingly he's eating right now, but he knows that it would be rude to just eat all the food with all these poor students possibly not having a lot of food for hours or even days! So he's showing enough self control to not inhale the entire table or even eat a good majority of the refreshments.

He is going to eat that entire cake though. Don't even try to stop him.]

[With a bounce, there's a second puffball on the table. She's also sporting a pair of cat's eye sunglasses. Uh, EBA, is this some kind of new division you've been building? Who's the hiring manager around here?]

[Who's the girl with the tattered red suit and the sunglasses? She's not "officially" an agent (though she has accepted the offer, but she's still rocking the look. You know what else she's rocking? The metallic...thing grafted on to where her right arm used to be.

She can be found around the party getting tipsy and slurring along to "Blitzkrieg Bop" or finding a nice quiet place to sit and just...stare at the new appendage.]

[There's one of the rescue team members, hanging out by the cheese platter when he's not milling with the others. This is the first time he's been to a raging party, and to his surprise, he's enjoying it. The first week when he was recruited was weird, learning how to dance...which apparently was some sort of fighting style? He never got that part, but he does love a good beat.

That's where Duster is right now, standing by the edge of the dance floor and watching every get down while he taps his foot. However, he still wears his neutral, gloomy expression even as he's having fun, so he looks more bored than anything.]

There's literally a normal guy just. Walking around and causing a huge mess everywhere he goes. He doesn't even look like an agent, unless you count the suit.

Thankfully, his dancing more than makes up for any destruction caused.]

[Wiitney is in a really good mood, which is weird because her general experiences with emotions so far in her life has been not great. But she's walking around with a natural smile on her face. Everyone here seems happy and that makes her happy. She even finds herself still enjoying the snacks, despite not needing to eat anymore. Everything right now just feels... right.]

[The Wii Balance Board is spending its time just hanging out as well, although its probably much less social than Wiitney. Its hard to tell if its looking at people, but its definitely not sleeping given the glowing blue color from his power button. So its just strolling around for now.]

On the one hand: cool, not dead. That's great. On the other? This is awful music. She might sign up to do music stuff or whatever with them later on, but she just spent a month in Hell. There is plenty of time for crucial decisions, and now might not be the best time for critical thinking.

She mostly frequents the more quiet areas of the mansion, though she'll occasionally lurk by the dance floor to pick up snacks.]

[Hey, campers... that voice rings a bell, doesn't it? In some ways, it sounds an awful lot like someone you know. But at the same time, Dark Pit speaks in a lower, more dour tone -- this voice is light and upbeat.]

[If you take a look over, you'll see... Dark Pit, who forgot to put on his goth this morning? Anyone who was around for the first trial should be able to figure this out.]

He doesn't look too comfortable, though he's still wearing his goggles and his mask actually has slots so his mustache sticks out. But you can find him in the corner, just glaring at everyone from underneath his glasses, an agent by his side to keep watch over him.]

Said hedgehog is combing through the place, maybe with a chili dog in hand. He's scanning the party looking for a black hedgehog when he does get a glimpse of Eggman.

It takes him a second. Sonic's expression goes from shock to confusion. It isn't until he gets a little closer to Eggman that he does confirm that it's him. Still...]

[It might be a bit difficult at first to recognize Alastor in his human form, given that nobody's ever seen him without wings, a tail and horns and only one person has seen his face, but he hopes his friends are smart enough to figure it out. It'd be kind of rude to hang around a part in demon form and maybe scare people who aren't used to seeing devils, after all...though the fancy sword on his back is probably kind of intimidating, anyway.

But imposing appearance aside, he can't help grinning from ear to pointed ear as he mingles around, raiding the snacks or punch bowl from time to time. The food is good, some of the music is great, but really, it's the liveliness of the party that has him happy. After spending a month focused on death, it's nice to just live for a while.]

[Well, there's at least one person here who wouldn't be intimidated to begin with, and it's the little girl in a suit who takes in a breath and waves. She's a half-devil anyway, which it always seems everyone can tell just by looking at her, so there's that.]

[Wandering around the various rooms in the mansion happens to be one teenager girl who looks no older than 17. Unlike a lot of the people here, she's not wearing a suit. Rather, her clothing seems to be some weird mismatch of various styles, which does nothing but make her look even more out of place. Oh sure, the party's kinda...not terrible, but she's got a mission to do.]

Man, why do I have to be the one doing errands. I thought that was Theo's job...

[Frowning, the girl folds her arms up against her chest and keeps plowing on. Probably bumping into a few people as she continues her search for something. Or someone.]

[Hinawa feels like she's walking on air. They've escaped that awful murder camp, sent the evil man behind it to some place where he can't hurt anyone again, everyone she's come to know and love over the past weeks is alive and well, and most importantly, she's going home to be with her family. Not a day has gone by without her yearning to see their faces again, and now that it's a reality she's beyond elated.

She accepted the EBA's offer without hesitation. She has a feeling that Flint might take some convincing, but they seemed like nice enough people to not keep her from him and the boys for too long. Maybe she could even take them with her! They could ride on one of those, what are they called, airplanes. Lucas and Claus would love that!]

[There's a loud crash as Lemmy loses his balance on the giant rubber ball he rolled in on and goes flying into a nearby speaker. He appears to be knocked out cold for a second, then jabs his arm into the air and gives a thumbs up.]

...no, seriously, who invited a zombie. Blue skin? Check. Stitches? Check. Mismatched body parts? Double check. Usually a cause for alarm, but...she's wearing a suit. Well, a vest and skirt, anyway. One sleeve is normal, while the other one is rolled up, revealing a claw-like arm that'd look more fitting on a troll than a zombie girl.

There's a pair of shades on her head, similar to the ones seen on the agents, but they kinda clash with the skulls in her hair. Also she's holding a staff, with a cow skull on top and a regular skull hanging from it.

The point is she's creepy. Creepy and shifting awkwardly near the refreshments table.]

Whatever the case may be, she seems pretty content with keeping this party rolling.]

Yo, yo! In case you're joining this party fashionably late, this is DJ Candy telling you to grab some glowsticks to bust out, because we're crankin' this party up into overdrive! But make sure you don't go too crazy! There's plenty of water and punch around to keep you hydrated and kickin' it all party long.

[There are an awful lot of dead people here. They also appear to be members of EBA if their albeit wrinkled and dirt covered suits are any indication. They shuffle around the party carrying trays of appetizers and taking your empty glasses and plates off your hands. However, when a certain song comes on, they all drop what they're doing (quite literally in a few cases. Hope you didn't want any bacon-wrapped scallops 'cause they're all over the floor now) and shamble onto the dance floor, where they proceed to tear it up.]
