It doesn't matter much now, because Monobear appears to have died. Whether or not he'll be gone long, however, is another matter of debate. It's time to act - and it's time to act fast.

When the group exits the courtroom, they will find themselves in a lush island landscape. The fifth world. If they look back at the door, they'll see they've left out of A GIANT STONE MONOBEAR HEAD...if he thinks hard enough, Luigi will get familiar vibes.

Regardless, the group of campers doesn't appear to be out of the fire yet. While the ocean hangs all around them, there's certainly no way off the island...is there?

Ugh...if we had a way to get our powers working again...

[Well, you know what? Taking a cue from Clair on week one, he lets Salamance and Altaria out.]

Salamance, see if you can find anything we can use as a boat. Altaria, scout out and see if there's land nearby.

Okay but seriously. They've both got this, though Salamence doesn't really know why they'd need a boat when they have him. Sure he's no Wailord, but two people should be able to fit. Granted, it might take a while...

Yeah alright, boat it is. The dragon kicks off the ground hard, wings flapping and bringing up some dirt as it takes to the skies. Meanwhile, Altaria's take off is much more graceful. Salamence sticks by the coast, looking for anything that could be used as a boat, while Altaria flies out past the sea in search of land.]

[While Altaria's search may prove a little fruitless, Salamance will eventually find...a giant boat, on the opposite side of the island. It's a bit damaged, but it certainly seems big enough.

Funny how these things work.]

[Now this is what he calls service. If only all his missions were this easy.

Taking great care not to smash anything, Salamence flies around the perimeter of the boat and inspects the hull for any cracks or leaks. Is she seaworthy, Captain?]

[Almost. There are a few missing bits to the hull here and there, almost as if a battle took place here, but it's not anything that can't be repaired.

There's also a giant crocodile-shaped hole at the back of the ship, but that's well above sea-level.]

[SQUINTING. SO HARD.

Part of him thinks it's a good idea to investigate that hole, but another part figures it's not worth the trouble. Besides, it looks too small for him. His wings would get caught and then he'd have to tear up the ship and then Alastor would get angry and no one wants that. So rather than dive into the whole, Salamence circles around and heads back where it was before, roaring loudly to get Alastor's attention.]

[That definitely does get his attention.]

[Another roar, accompanied by a nod. Hopefully Alastor understands that, because either way he's heading for the ship.]

[It's pretty easy to figure out. He follows after, but not before calling back:]

[Hope everyone's wanted to be pirates, because that sure is a giant pirate ship. Though one that's seen better days.]

[Is Altaria on its way back? Because if so, he's definitely going to wait.

Letting Altaria know where he went was kind of the biggest reason for leaving Salamance outside, though.]

[She's not, unfortunately. When he gave the order to look for land, well...he didn't tell her to stop if she didn't find anything. Which she hasn't. Probably a good idea to get Salamence after her and get someone else to assist with the ship.]

...Wait. How far did Altaria go? ...Go bring her back.

[She only wants to make him happy.

...well that, and she probably got distracted. Let's be honest with ourselves. With a nod, Salamence takes off once more.]

[...Yeah, he wouldn't be at all surprised if she got distracted by some bit of flotsam and didn't realize she'd scouted far enough, considering how they met.]

[Shadow follows, skating along the beach. Woah... that sure is a ship]

[time to board the ship and look around]

[When the duo get up on the ship, they'll both notice that the deck is relatively open. There's a few barrels scattered about, and the door to the Captain's Quarters are in the back of the ship. Also? Yes, there is a Steering Wheel. At first glance, she appears to be in relatively good shape.]

[Well, just out of curiosity...he's going to pry open one of those barrels. Leaning back just in case there's a spring loaded glove inside it or something...]

[It's filled with bananas.]

[After twitching for a moment, he puts the lid firmly back on the barrel. Let's take a look in the captain's quarters instead, huh?]

Ah'll look for food an' supplies. Ah've lived off the land for a long time, e'en if it ain't the same climate here...lemme know what sorta stuff ya find, an' Ah'll see what Ah can do for a boat.

[She's never actually seen tropical stuff before. But there's got to be SIMILAR stuff still, right? And the principles of harvesting water from the ocean are the same...

Speaking of water, after she makes a catch and a special thing for dealing with salt water, she goes to the oceanfront. Any fish or other critters visible?]

[There are some Cheep Cheeps swimming out there and a few Magikarp bouncing uselessly up-and-down on the sand.]

[What the frickle frackle are these things? Why are these fishies just flopping around like idiots? Why are these other ones red and winged?

Why does nothing make sense?

Man, she was hoping for normal fishies.
