FIRST TRIAL

[The moon has gone back into the sky and Mac Graziano, the Super High School Level Boxer, is the reason for it. The champ-to-be was found in front of the Theater by his classmates.

Once the announcement sounds, large green pipes appear in front of the students. Going down these pipes will place students in an empty but spacious courtroom. In the center is a circle of 15 wooden podiums. 14 stand empty. Standing at the 15th is a framed photo of Mac in the middle of a tremendous uppercut, with a pink X slashed across it.

There is a podium for each student with their names engraved on bronze-looking plaques on the front of each podium. On the inside, facing the stool where students have the option to sit, is a screen and keyboard. These will be used in voting for the assumed culprit.

What will their collected evidence tell them? Will the truth be revealed or will only one leaving the campground?

14 students remain.]

[Let the class trial in the murder of Mac Graziano...begin.]

[ooc: Welcome to the first trial, dearies! The podium chart is set up by room numbers. Please ping me on Plurk if something comes up that requires mod clarification!]

You think Mac wanted a meeting? Or the other person did? If it's the latter, I wonder what excuse they used to get Mac up there...

C-come to think of it, I saw a map with a route that-a went by the theater. Y'think he jobs with-a the person who killed him?
squidsisterpink: (uh...)

A jog up on the roof? That doesn't sound like much of a jog.

No, I mean someone might have-a Tricked him into going to the roof for "special training"

Huh, that's a thought. Which one of us would stand in as a kind of "special training coach"?

It would have to be somebody with fighting experience, I think.
squidsisterpink: (sigh...)

[personal profile] squidsisterpink 2015-10-10 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Not me, I'm an idol, not a fighter.

Maybe Dark Pit or Nephenee? They're both fighters. And Shadow, but he was tiny.
theothersissel: (leave it all till somebody else)

Actually, could be Wiitney too, since it could have been regular training instead, but...well, I don't know how much she understands about murder. She's kind of, uh, "sheltered"?

[Also maybe a robot.]

But the problem with this theory is that Mac was hit on the back of the head. The murderer could've used another name to get Mac up there and then ambushed Mac, so we can't just narrow down the people down to those guys.
squidsisterpink: (are you squidding me?)

[personal profile] squidsisterpink 2015-10-10 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
It has to be someone strong enough to kill him in one hit though. He died from the hit, not the fall, so it has to be someone super-strong. Not a lot of people are strong enough to do that.

Or it could be someone just really experienced with that weapon. Or both.

The weapon's weight and strength could also have played a factor, if the person wasn't strong enough to land a killing blow on their own.
squidsisterpink: (a theory)

[personal profile] squidsisterpink 2015-10-10 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Let me put it this way: I use something similar to a staff- but padded and safe- in a game I play back home. And even though I've been playing for years, I don't think I could kill someone in one hit. Skill alone won't be enough, strength is needed.
superstylishschism: (I don't know what to make of it.)

[personal profile] superstylishschism 2015-10-10 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on the weapon. Leverage can be important. If you swing something long and hefty with your hands all the way on one end, you can hit a lot harder than you could with your strength alone.

'S why a sword's balance is so important.
squidsisterpink: (sigh...)

[personal profile] squidsisterpink 2015-10-10 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
So, would knowing how to use a staff right matter too? Because otherwise I don't know if anyone would get that leverage-stuff right.
superstylishschism: (Oh yeah...)

[personal profile] superstylishschism 2015-10-10 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
At least knowing how to fight with a long weapon. That sort of swing would be pretty much the same between a staff, hammer and heavy sword.

It has been explained to me. [Horrifying concept, especially the not moving part.]

No one scheduled any late training sessions with me.
