It doesn't matter much now, because Monobear appears to have died. Whether or not he'll be gone long, however, is another matter of debate. It's time to act - and it's time to act fast.

When the group exits the courtroom, they will find themselves in a lush island landscape. The fifth world. If they look back at the door, they'll see they've left out of A GIANT STONE MONOBEAR HEAD...if he thinks hard enough, Luigi will get familiar vibes.

Regardless, the group of campers doesn't appear to be out of the fire yet. While the ocean hangs all around them, there's certainly no way off the island...is there?

Goombriel told me how he used to have a summer job operating..."Battle Minigames" for some weird board game thing.

Maybe it was for the best.

There are these games that we sometimes do back in the Mushroom Kingdom. It's-a like a board game but the goal is to collect the most stars by buying them with the coins you get from Minigames!

Recently though the rules are more different, but I'm-a not sure why.

...Okay, let me rephrase that. Why is it called a Mario Party.

Oh, they're named after my Big Bro. We didn't-a really name it that, but he kinda won the first party we had so people started referring to it as a Mario Party.

He's...egotistical enough to name these parties after himself.

N-no! The name wasn't his idea! People just-a started calling it that

So, wait. If...I won a 'Mario Party', you guys would...have to call it a Clarice Party, right.

Well... I guess they would-a have to know who you are first if you want that to happen.

Oh! Those sound delightfully fun!

They are usually! They do get kinda heated sometimes though.

[Especially since, you know, the first game started just because they couldn't decide which one of them was "The Best".]

Once we get out of this, I would very much like to participate in one!

...May we ask you some things? The truth behind what really went with you and Goombriel back then?

And also why Monobear would chose to not release you even though you "won" his game? At least, if I am understanding the sequence of events correctly...

It feels a little strange to continue to tell us we can only escape through murder and then openly show us that even that is a faslehood.

Have you seen the guy? He's a mushroom. What were my other options? There were giant crocodiles and polar bears and you know, there was a gremlin-looking guy! How am I supposed to kill some kinda gremlin?

Oh, um, part of it I guess was that he was a really prominent figure in the camp? Like...it's hard to describe, but that dude was everywhere.

Prominent? Would you say... like a leader perhaps? Or just someone very involved?

Okay. Let's say that you made this place into, I dunno, a book or something. He'd be the main dude. There's like...a word for that. It starts with a 'p', don't really remember it.
